Ashton Heights isn't your typical vertical thriller. Instead of racing from cliffhanger to cliffhanger, it slowly builds an unsettling atmosphere where every conversation hides another secret and every character lives in shades of gray. The mystery unfolds naturally, keeping you guessing about who can be trusted while pairing strong writing with gorgeous cinematography, haunting music, and an eerie visual style that makes the entire series feel far more cinematic than expected.
Its biggest weakness comes in the final reveal, which doesn't quite tie every thread together as cleanly as the buildup promises, leaving a few lingering questions. Even so, the ambition more than makes up for it. Ashton Heights takes creative risks, trusts its audience to keep up, and proves that vertical storytelling can move beyond familiar romance formulas into something darker, smarter, and refreshingly original.

Ashton Heights feels like someone turned heartbreak and attractive toxic people into pure binge fuel. I loved it! The cast has way too much chemistry and somehow every episode ends with me needing ‘just one more.’
