Taking advantage of his parents' wealth and status in Valia, Tim Cole constantly stirs up trouble with his friends, becoming part of an infamous gang despised by everyone. One day, his mother, Mona Leed, suffers a relapse at the park and is taken by Jane Holt and Phil Soot in their car to the hospital.
