Deceived by Heath Locke's facade of decency, Xena Morse becomes engaged to him, unaware of his true nature—a greedy and licentious man having an affair with her half-sister, Tara Morse. Tara schemes to bring down their family and orchestrates the death of Xena's father. During the wake, Xena catches Tara and Heath in the act.
