Some verticals survive on plot twists. This one survives on chemistry. The minute Alison and Brett start sharing scenes, you understand exactly why the story works. There's an easy familiarity between them that makes it believable they've been orbiting each other's lives for years. Cayla Brady brings a lot of charm to Alison, especially when she's caught between embarrassment, attraction, and the constant fear of being exposed. And Evan Adams? This role fits him like a glove. He has a natural confidence that makes Brett feel protective without needing to dominate every scene, and he brings a lot of humor to moments that could have easily become too serious.
What surprised me most was how much I enjoyed the family dynamic. The relationship between Alison and her brother felt authentic—annoying each other one minute and looking out for each other the next.
