Since birth, Ruby is said to be born with bad luck. Anyone who comes near her gets infected by it. Abandoned by her family, she is taken in by an old Taoist, who tells her that if she can find her destined family, her misfortune will turn into good luck. Ruby then finds the most unlucky family in the village, the Fosters. Rumor has it that their livestock won't stay alive, their crops won't grow, and they are always sick, truly the unluckiest of the unlucky! But from the moment Ruby arrives, everything starts to change. To everyone's surprise, the Fosters turn out to be the family with the best fortune in the whole village.
