After discovering his son-in-law Jason's infidelity , Frank bugs his phone and overhears a violent altercation that leaves his pregnant daughter Emily unresponsive. Jason and his mother, Carol, rush Emily to the hospital but maliciously refuse an emergency C-section to protect Jason's financial future, leading to the tragic deaths of both Emily and her unborn baby. Devastated and arriving too late , Frank enacts brutal revenge, violently murdering Jason and Carol in the hospital. Finally, Frank takes Emily's body home, where he and his grieving wife commit suicide to reunite with their beloved daughter.
