Kartavya Ek Prerna

Unmarried teacher, Sumitra comes across an orphan boy, Shubham. She empathizes with him and raises him into an IAS officer. They share a great mother-son bond. Shubham's wife pesters Sumitra to leave and threatens to abort the child. She does the same without informing Shubham. He is clueless of his wife's deeds. It is when he receives Sumitra's favourite toy which suggests that she is no more. He is left speechless and helpless and regrets why would Sumitra not complain to him about anything.
