Add a review...More serious than the title conveys
The title does not prepare me for how serious the tone of this vertical drama actually is. I went in expecting a romcom with more com than rom, but this is definitely much much heavier on the rom!
It's very interesting watching the dynamics of Albert/Leon and Monica, where one feels like he is emotionally being cheated on while the other is forced to leave behind her past feelings of love in order to move forward with the same, but not really the same, person. I felt that the leads were able to portray the nuances and intricacies of the relationship really well.
There are a lot of sweet scenes in this, and it's so hard not to root for Monica and Albert as we watch them grow into each other. My favorite was the one during Monica's birthday! And while the schemes and drama are part of the vertical drama experience, I would actually really love to watch a version of this story that focuses purely on the return, rekindling, and remembering between the two leads. 🥰
