When Devansh, a young professional from Delhi, returns to his ancestral village in the mountains of Uttarakhand, he discovers more than just broken homes and abandoned fields he confronts the slow erasure of a once-vibrant world. Through fading memories, deserted schools, and heartfelt conversations with the few who remain, Palayan captures the emotional and cultural cost of migration from India’s Himalayan villages.
