Christian Cooper, the Master Rowan of the Niven Cross Sect, had both of his souls sealed in an accident, and became the Yules’ witless live-in-son-in-law. For five years, Sylvia Yule was the only one in that family who hadn’t given up on him. The Yules, seeking more power and status, had Sylvia divorce Christian and marry a wealthier man.
