Ann Stone and Caleb Zane grew up as childhood sweethearts and married young. After her career collapses and long-distance strain sets in, Ann divorces him. Two years later, she joins a low-tier dating show to survive, only to meet Caleb there. They keep their distance in public but start bickering in private.
