On the day of her son Adam's 6th birthday, Helen Walker, living in a small town, leaves him momentarily to buy a birthday cake, only for him to go missing. At the same time, Elon Hall, a passing businessman, rescues Adam and unknowingly adopts him, taking him to New York. Twenty years later, Adam, now the heir to Hall Group, is sent to Camden to handle a real estate project.
