Yale Quinn, a modern man who accidentally triggers a time-travel device, finds himself stranded in an ancient kingdom during a 12-hour cooldown period, where he falls for a princess destined to be married off for peace. To protect her and the kingdom from external threats and internal rebellion, he leverages modern resources — including large quantities of glass — and is ultimately appointed Imperial General by the Empress. As he leads the armies into battle, Yale Quinn finds himself torn between returning to his own era and his deepening feelings for the Empress.
